In the late 60’s, after serving in the military, John J. Karle, the founder of Karle Coachwork, moved with his wife Colleen from upper State New York to Colorado Springs. He had learned his trade from his father-in-law and started his own business by doing restoration work for Mercedes and Porsche clubs. In 1971 he created Karle Coachwork and built a business around doing exceptional work, always putting the customer first. Today the company is run and owned by his son, John M. Karle, who literally grew up in the shop, sweeping floors and cleaning cars.

With over 40 years of experience himself, John M. Karle has gained professional expertise in collision repair by attaining I-CAR certification as well as graduating from the renowned German Spies Hecker School for auto painting.

On a personal level, John loves to restore the look of a car and enjoys when his customers are happy. Integrity is not just a word for John M. Karle: He knows that trust is based on honesty and taking really good care of his customers, not cutting edges.
